While the Community Patch is based on, and can be considered the continuation of, the previous unofficial versions, a number of default feature changes have been either removed entirely or made optional to provide a game experience closer to the last Simtex version. The current version number of the patch is 1.52.03. Unlike Insecticide and the aforementioned two, it is an official release, included with all new purchases of the game along with the last version produced by Simtex, v1.31. The Master of Magic Community Patch is a collaboration between the current owner of the Master of Magic franchise, Slitherine Software UK Limited, and the creators of the Unofficial Patches v1.50 and v1.51.
Slitherine's Master of Magic launcher allows playing separate copies of v1.31 and the Community Patch, as well as Caster of Magic if purchased.
